PADI Open Water Diver course students that have completed initial segments of training may be referred to PADI instructors in another location to complete Open Water certification requirements. A PADI referral form is valid for twelve months. However, we encourage referred students to complete their training as soon as possible as their training will still be fresh in their minds.

The advantage of doing a referral is that you can complete the academics in your own country and do all the dives in a warm water resort and combine the last part of a PADI course with your holiday.

A PADI Open Water Diver course maybe referred just prior to dive one or any times between dives one and five.

PADI referrals are accepted on all PADI courses up to rescue diver. The student must obtain a referral form from the instructor that completed your basic training.
