If your love of diving interests you in a full or part-time career then this is where you begin. The PADI Divemaster course is designed to train qualified individuals as supervisory personnel.

The diving industry is expanding rapidly and with this comes the opportunities for trained professionals to find employment in the world’s most exotic and interesting dive destinations. This is where your life becomes full of adventure, fun and fulfillment in a career as a Divemaster.

During the Divemaster course you’ll work closely with a Divers Delight PADI Instructor to expand your diving skills and knowledge to the professional level. The role of the Divemaster may be to either supervise and assist general diving activities, serve as an underwater guide, an instructional assistant, medic and many more. The role of the Divemaster requires an extremely high degree of care and attention, since those in the Divemaster’s charge may not be fully qualified divers. To reap the benefits of this course, the applicant should be serious and dedicated.

The PADI Divemaster rating denotes an individual who

has a high level of personal diving skill 

has instructor level knowledge of diving theory

has had significant training in how to assist an instructor during training activities is able to assume the role of responsibility for the welfare of other divers in his/her charge

On completion of the PADI Divemaster course you will become a member of PADI International which will entitle you to membership benefits including, your unique PADI member number, the quarterly publication of ‘The Undersea Journal’, the PADI Divemaster price list for PADI products etc.



Certified PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent

Medic First Aid or equivalent (must submit proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last three years)

Have completed and logged at least 60 open-water dives before certification.

Submit a diving medical examination signed by a physician stating that the candidate is fit for diving

Be 18 years of age
