Turkey offers some of the best
unspoilt, uncommercial diving still available. Its coastline abounds
with sheltered coves, bays and uninhabited islands, which have yet
to be discovered by the worldwide diving fraternity or tourists
alike.
It has a particularly rich and
varied marine life, with numerous reefs, featuring majestic rock
formations, curious caves and sharp drop-offs.
Huge tame Groupers, Tuna,
Amberjack, shoals of Mediterranean Barracuda, Mooray eels, Octopus
and sometimes, even Monk seals and Dolphins can be seen! Fascinating
sponges of all shapes, sizes and colours, blanket the dive sites.
Turkey has the added adventure of
calm, warm waters, no tides or currents and crystal clear
visibility, all of which make it a paradise for both the experienced
diver and especially suitable for absolute beginners.
