If you wish you can start your internship with Divers Delight as an Open Water Diver and you will be trained in the following courses through to IDC.

Advanced Open Water Diver Medic First Aid Rescue Diver Divemaster
or IDC
|
|
All participants must have been a certified Open Water Diver for one year previous to IDC course for partiipation in the Internship programme.
|
|
Shared staff accommodation can be provided for 60 GBP per month or alternate accommodation can be arranged.
|
|
Internship courses start first week of May and first week of July 2008.
|
|
Instructor examination will be held at the end of July and October 2008.
|
|
|
PADI Divemaster
Internship
|
|
|
|
|
The
student spends about 6 weeks as an assistant to our more experienced
instructors accompanying them on dives, on training sessions and in
the classroom. There is exposure to many other facets of being a
professional Divemaster such as compressor operation, equipment
servicing and sales. The total number of training sessions is
undefined but all set work will be covered and much more besides
|
|
|
Entry level - Rescue
diver with 50 logged dives and medical from a Doctor. Dives may
be made up at Divers Delight prior to starting the course.

| Assist
in not less than 5 confined water training sessions and 10 open
water training sessions. Map
drawing exercise. The Practical Section (3) is normally done by
assisting Instructors on an open water and on an advanced open water
course.

| You will be expected to get involved in all aspects of
running a dive centre starting with greeting the clients, through
issuing equipment, discussing dive sites and helping on dives to
filling cylinders and equipment sales.
|
|
Some items must be done in sequence, such as the Diver Rescue
exercise, but others are fitted in around the normal daily
activities giving a very informal and
relaxed approach. Candidates may also be involved in Try
Dives and in diving excursions for experienced divers.
