Rafting
|
|
|
|
|
Dalaman Upper River, which courses
through a scenic gorge, is laced with Class I-III rapids that
offer easy to moderate summer whitewater -- but still plenty of
excitement -- for kids as young as 6. At Class VI River Runners, a
family-oriented outfitter you can choose single- or multi-day
trips. One-day trips, a good way to get your feet wet -- or
soaked. Multi-day trips, which include overnight camping. You can
ride with the group in an oar raft or, better yet, steer your own
two-person "ducky" (an inflatable rubber kayak that
children often love). In camp, foods and games are catered to
kids. If you have adventurous offspring ages 12 and up, consider
the Lower New River, where the roller-coaster rapids are Class
III-V. On a hot summer day, join the rafting team to cool
down in the waters of fast mountain river near Dalaman. The
rafting routes are specially designed for the different levels of
rafting experience or none at all. You can be rafting by yourself
or together with your friends in the larger boats. Usually there
is a break for lunch since the trip program is for all afternoon.
